"A Playground of Curiosity" - This phrase aptly encapsulates the spirit of our SLF "Gathering of Community." It is in a playful environment that we truly thrive in learning and growing. We gather to explore new dimensions of spirituality including intuition, meditation, and various healing practices.

Fridays For Future is a dynamic global movement driven by young activists. It began in August 2018, sparked by the actions of Greta Thunberg, a 15-year-old from Sweden who courageously protested against governmental inaction on climate change. Greta, deeply concerned about the environment, along with her fellow students, staged a sit-in at the Swedish parliament every school day for three weeks, calling for urgent global measures to combat the escalating climate crisis.
Locally, the movement is championed by individuals like Matt Schlegel, who orchestrates Fridays For Future gatherings. Matt mobilizes local climate activists to organize events and marches, aiming to raise awareness within the community about the urgency of the climate crisis. His efforts, along with those of his peers, perfectly illustrate the principle of "think globally, act locally," as they lead crucial initiatives to address climate issues on a grassroots level.
In October 2022, we convened in the Mojave Desert for a transformative 4-day retreat, setting a precedent for future gatherings. Our activities spanned hiking through the striking landscapes of Joshua Tree National Park, immersing ourselves in the resonant sound bath at the Integratron, and exploring the mysteries of the universe with a "Close Encounter of the Fifth Kind (CE5)" night meditation. This initial retreat has since become the model for similar events, with the SLF sponsoring a total of four excursions to the California high desert. We are eagerly anticipating our next trip, scheduled for Spring 2025.
Aloha! In June, 2022, the SLF hosted a three-day program on the Big Island of Hawaii to “Explore, Learn, and Create a Common Vision.” While the vision continues to incubate, for the team who traveled to the Big Island, the experience was truly magical!
