Open Circle

“Earth Empathy” - A Discussion led by Don Houston

Isn’t it strange that we find it difficult to accept the origin of life on our planet as being homegrown, a product of a lump of clay, water, and the Sun?

Humanity has a destiny, but we cannot see it because of the “God trap” we continue to fall into. We fight over which God is supreme, like a pack of wild dogs for a piece of meat. Since “God is dead,” as Nietzsche so famously put it, God and its moral order should no longer matter. But it does. It’s the fate of those wallowing in their lust for power. Nor does the “I think” worldview that rationality can reconcile any situation find validation in the modern era.

To seize our destiny, a psychological breakthrough in personality is in order, one that fosters empathy in ways we find hard to imagine. A breakthrough that counteracts Narcissistic personality disorder––a deficiency in empathy where life is met with hostility or judgment rather than understanding or compassion––a character trait found in both the “I think” and “God trap” camps. To regress into either camp is to surrender human destiny to a fate where we cannot consciously shape how we wish to become in the Universe, how we wish to be known, and what impact we have on other life forms.

Earth Empathy is a leap in evolution. Becoming an Earth empath, a person who can experience Synesthesia and become a thunderstorm or the loveliness of an ocean wave is a special type of avocation. It teaches us to stop fighting and connect to the Earth’s energy as part of our evolutionary growth in preparation for our ascendance to the heavens, which feels like our other home.

How can we respect life out there without learning empathic respect for all forms of life here?

Let’s talk about that.

GENERAL OPEN CIRCLE DESCRIPTION

"Open Circle" is designed as a nurturing environment where individuals can explore and expand their personal spirituality. Led by Roger Morimoto, these sessions delve into contemporary spiritual practices and insights, offering a blend of storytelling and reflective discourse that connects us with the broader spiritual landscape of our times. Roger's guidance helps illuminate the diverse paths we each walk, emphasizing that while our journeys are personal, they are also interconnected.

In "Open Circle," we believe that sharing our individual experiences can catalyze deeper understanding and growth. By listening to others and contributing our own insights, we create a rich tapestry of knowledge that encourages us to explore beyond our boundaries and supports us in our spiritual evolution.

We extend an open invitation for you to join us at "Open Circle," where we come together to learn, share, and grow in unity. This is more than just a meeting; it's an opportunity to be part of a community committed to spiritual development and mutual support. Join us as we journey together, discovering new perspectives and embracing the collective wisdom of our shared experiences.
